Open Day at the Espace Senegal Services in Ziguinchor
In short:

Ziguinchor, December 14, 2023 – Espace Senegal Services, a true ally of citizens for their administrative and entrepreneurial efforts, has recorded a remarkable influx of more than 200 people since its reopening, announced Thursday the general director of Senegal digital, Cheikh Bakhoum.

“Since the reopening of the Espaces Sénégal Services, we have recorded exceptional attendance. To date, more than 200 people have benefited from various services, ranging from obtaining administrative documents to financial and entrepreneurial support, as well as "other administrative procedures with state institutions", revealed Mr. Bakhoum during an open day organized at the Senegal Services Space in Ziguinchor.

He underlined the crucial role that Senegal Services Space plays as a one-stop shop, facilitating procedures for citizens. “Senegal Services Space is a network that has earned the trust of administrations and private entities. It represents a one-stop shop aimed at simplifying the lives of our fellow citizens,” explained Cheikh Bakhoum.

The interruption of activities at Senegal Services Space in Ziguinchor, due to vandalism that occurred last June, was overcome thanks to several months of rehabilitation work. “After this renovation period, it was essential for us to return to Ziguinchor and interact with the populations. This reopening is an opportunity to strengthen communication between Senegal Services Space and the local community,” said the general director. of Senegal digital.

He also underlined the importance of preserving this instrument put in place by the State of Senegal to support the training of citizens. “We want people to understand the usefulness of this space created by the State to support them in their training, among other things,” he added.

The Espaces Sénégal Services, in addition to their one-stop-shop function, offer shared workspaces, thus helping to meet the needs of public service users. Their objective is to facilitate citizens' access to public services through the dematerialization of administrative procedures, while promoting the digital and economic opening up of territories. These spaces provide public administrative and market services to citizens, thus contributing to a more connected and efficient society.
