The Association of Mayors of Senegal (AMS) and Senegal Numerique SA sealed a partnership this Friday, February 9, 2024. This collaboration agreement will better assist the country's councilors in their missions to facilitate the procedures of citizens in the different municipalities , and for Senegal Numerique SA to take a further step in its mission to territorialize the State's digital policy.

In the dynamic of materializing the territorialization of public policies desired by the Head of State Macky Sall, the AMS (Association of Mayors of Senegal) called on the Société Senegal Numerique SA to make services easier, faster and more accessible. of all municipalities in the country. It is in this context that the two entities signed, this Friday, February 09, 2024, a partnership agreement in the premises of this association which brings together the 557 mayors of municipalities and cities in Senegal. 
 

“Over the last ten years, our country has made a lot of effort to equip itself with digital infrastructure to facilitate, among other things, the delivery of services to users, the interconnection of our administrative structures thanks to the national fiber network. optical and the backup of our data,” recalled Cheikh Bakhoum, Managing Director of Senegal Numerique.

In this collaboration between these two structures, it is expected to SENUM SA a provision of IT solutions adapted to the specific needs of the different town halls, recalled Oumar Bâ, President of the AMS. This will involve, among other things, deploying the electronic mail management platform (SenGec), facilitating the acquisition of .SN domain names and email addresses as well as the hosting of municipal data within the National Datacenter of Diamniadio, to offer software for optimized tax recovery, and also to upgrade the existing Town Hall management software. “Digitalization should help us simplify our administrative work and reduce costs. This agreement is therefore a big step and we are very satisfied with all the services that will be offered, in particular the establishment of a system for collecting taxes and revenues.”

After the collaboration established with ANEC and now with AMS, the system with Senegal Numerique is now complete so that the digitization of Civil Status, electronic archiving and online administrative procedures become a simple formality for Senegalese citizens wherever they are.
