Senegal has applied to host the Annual General Meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) from 2022 to 2026. In order for Senegal's candidacy to be accepted, the country will have to provide guarantees for the proper organization of these important meetings. It is in this context that an ADB delegation is staying in Senegal to evaluate the country in 10 areas including Information and Communication Technologies.
The State IT Agency (ADIE), the technical arm of the State in digital matters, received a visit from part of the delegation from the African Development Bank on Monday January 20, 2020. The delegation was interested in the ADIE fiber optic network and the connectivity it offers to certain structures which will eventually have to house activities. ADIE has communicated all the useful information.
Note that on several occasions, ADIE has had to provide technical support for the success of major events, both national and international.
