Launch of the Senegal Digital 2025 – 2035 strategy
In short:

The Minister of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, Alioune Sall, chaired this Friday, July 26, 2024, the launch workshop of the “Jubbanti – Digital” platform. This is designed to collect contributions from the Senegalese digital ecosystem.

From July 26 to August 05, 2024, digital players are invited to make their proposal on Senegal's digital strategy for the next decade. The launch of the call for contributions through the Jubbanti platform which was used during the conference on justice was done through digital tools to, according to the minister, allow everyone to participate. Alioune Sall indeed insists on the importance of active participation of the sector but also of ordinary citizens in the development of the Senegal Digital Strategy 2025-2035.

In addition to insisting on the inclusive nature of the consultation, Alioune Sall also recalled that this approach is perfectly in line with the initiatives launched by the President of the Republic in terms of digitalization.

The Senegal Digital Strategy 2025-2035 aims to position Senegal as a regional leader in technology and digital innovation. The “Jubbanti” platform (https://jubbanti.sec.gouv.sn/concertation-numerique) will play a crucial role in enabling citizens and experts to contribute to this vision, ensuring that digital initiatives reflect the needs and aspirations of the Senegalese population.

The panel which made it possible to take stock of digitalization, the development of digital infrastructures and digital sovereignty, brought together the luminaries of the ecosystem. Around the minister, we saw Maimouna Diop, coordinator of the forum on internet governance, Antoine Ngom, President of OPTIC, Ibrahim Noureddine Diagne, CEO of Gaïndé 2000, among other panelists.
